Vintage views of two PCC cars restored with FPT’s help

Here are Philadelphia PCC Cars #2743 and #2168 when they were looking worn out.

Today, thanks to the generosity of our supporters and friends, The Friends of Philadelphia Trolleys has been able to contribute more than $90,000 total to ensure these cars have been preserved in excellent running condition for future generations.

Thanks to Ed Springer for the photos.

FPT Father’s Day trackless charter canceled

Friends,

We are sorry to inform you that FPT’s Father’s Day trackless trolley charter in Philadelphia has been canceled.

As you are likely aware, the situation with public events remains fluid due to the COVID-19 outbreak, and we just don’t know if we will be able to bring together a group of people inside the vehicle at that time. Friends of Philadelphia Trolleys will be reaching out to those of you who have already sent payment for the trip.

We want to thank all of you for your continued interest and support for FPT’s mission. We look forward to seeing you all again when it is safe.

Please continue to watch this space, as well as our Facebook page, for information about our preservation efforts as well as potential future trips.
