Come join the Friends of Philadelphia Trolleys in South Jersey for a day of quality photography on the region’s newest tourist railroad.
This photography trip will be led by Steve Barry, editor of Railfan & Railroad Magazine.
Date: Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 9 a.m.

Highlights include:
— Steam locomotive 0-6-0 No. 9 on a freight train
— Reading FP7 diesels on an all-green passenger train consist
— Numerous photo runbys at quality locations on both the Swedesboro and Mannington sections of the railroad
— No extra charge for night photo session including the FP7s out on the line and steam in the yard (weather permitting)
The event will run all day with breaks for both lunch and dinner.
The trip will originate at Woodstown Central’s campus at 650 Alloway-Woodstown Road near Woodstown NJ.
What you will need:
— Sturdy footwear; some runbys will be on uneven ground
— A small stepstool or stepladder might be helpful for a few tight photo locations
— A tripod, cable release and flashlight for the night photo session
Note that motive power and/or consists are subject to change, based on availability; historic equipment can sometimes be uncooperative. Proceeds from this trip will be used to help in the restoration of Philadelphia trolley cars at various museums.
